Angela M. Hill
Angela M. Hill is a Pulitzer Prize and Emmy award winning investigative journalist and producer. She’s the Ida B. Wells professor of practice of Investigative Journalism at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, based in Washington, D.C. Angela won a 2024 Pulitzer Prize as a member of the Washington Post team that explored the AR-15’s unique role in American society. During her tenure at the Post, Angela co-led a video team producing enterprise, investigative, and multimedia projects.
Prior to the Post, Angela was a television investigative journalist/producer for the Scripps News Washington Bureau where she reported, produced and wrote national television, digital and audio stories and documentaries. Before joining Scripps, Angela was a producer with ABC News Network’s Investigative Unit based in New York City. There she reported and produced stories for World News Tonight, Good Morning America, Nightline, 20/20 and ABCNews.com.
Angela’s investigative work has led to congressional hearings, changes in laws and institutional reforms. Her accolades include two Emmy and Peabody awards, a George Polk award and a Robert F. Kennedy Grand Prize award.
Angela has served as an adjunct lecturer at Georgetown University where she taught classes on news reporting and writing. Angela earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgetown University and a master’s degree in journalism from the City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism.
